assessment What happens at a physiotherapy assessment? I will talk through your problem with you and look at any relevant scans, letters or reports associated with your problem (please bring this information with you if you 
have it). Together we can then talk through your physiotherapy aims and thoroughly assess you (with your consent), addressing any concerns or worries you may have. Your assessment may involve certain specialised tests, questions or exercises all of which will be thoroughly explained to you prior to being carried out. Following this assessment an achievable treatment program will be devised for you with your consent, taking into account any issues, conditions or time restraints you may have. During, before or after any of your sessions, feel free to raise any questions, queries or concerns regarding your care/treatment plan.  How long is the first assessment? Approximately 1 hour is allowed for your initial consultation and follow up session are between 30-45 minutes in duration. What should I wear? Comfortable appropriate clothing however please note, if your problem relates to your back, legs, knees or feet please bring shorts to change into should it be required. Please note prior to any treatment or assessment commencing you will be required to sign a consent form (this will be given and explained to you at your 1st appointment).
