Pain in Pregnancy Pain in pregnancy now known as pelvic girdle pain (previously SPD) can cause pain around the pelvis; spine and can also travel into your legs and down to your toes. Pelvic Girdle Pain can cause functional limitations such as struggling to get in and out of the car/bath or climbing the stairs. Physiotherapy interventions such as exercise, manual therapy, massage and acupuncture can improve your functional abilities and help you manage your pain throughout your pregnancy.
